Who this covers

This policy applies to everyone who uses the Last-Minute Jobs mobile app or website ("the Service"), whether posting jobs, accepting them, or both. Last-Minute Jobs is operated independently and is not affiliated with any other business, brand, or app.

What we collect

How we use it

• Match jobs to nearby people, and show relevant listings on the map or feed
• Process payments, platform fees, and payouts through Stripe
• Enable chat and voice notes between a job's poster and acceptor
• Send notifications about nearby, expiring, or updated jobs
• Investigate reports, disputes, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service
• Maintain, secure, and improve the Service, including by analyzing aggregated or de-identified usage patterns
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

Who we share it with

• The other party on a job — a poster and acceptor see each other's name, rating, and, once a job is accepted, more precise location for the duration of that job.
• Stripe — our payment processor, to handle charges and payouts. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how it handles payment data.
• Service providers — hosting, push notification, analytics, and map-embed providers that help run the app, bound by contract to use data only to provide that service.
• Legal & safety — law enforcement, regulators, or other third parties when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Last-Minute Jobs, our users, or the public, or necessary to investigate fraud or a breach of our Terms.
• Business transfers — if Last-Minute Jobs is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal data for monetary consideration.

Your choices

• Location, camera, microphone, and notification permissions can be turned off any time in your device settings — some features (like posting a job with a photo, or seeing nearby jobs) won't work without them.
• You can edit your profile any time from Settings in the app.
• You can request a copy or deletion of your account and data by contacting us below, subject to our right to retain information as needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Data retention

We keep job records, messages, and payment history for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward as needed to satisfy legal, tax, security, and dispute-resolution requirements. Media attached to a job (photos, videos, voice notes) is deleted automatically after a set retention window once a job is completed or cancelled, except where retention is needed for an active dispute or investigation.

Children's privacy

Last-Minute Jobs is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and will delete such data if we become aware of it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time at our sole discretion. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Last-Minute Jobs ("the Service," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. What the Service is (and isn't)

Last-Minute Jobs is a technology platform that lets one user ("Poster") list a task and another user ("Tasker") accept and perform it, with payment handled through the app. We are strictly a neutral intermediary:

• We do not employ, background-check, certify, train, or supervise any Tasker or Poster.
• We do not inspect job sites, verify job descriptions, or guarantee the quality, legality, safety, or completion of any job.
• No employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship is created between Last-Minute Jobs and any user, or between a Poster and a Tasker, by use of the Service.
• All interactions, arrangements, and in-person meetings between users are solely between those users.
• The ID photo step is a basic requirement only. We do not verify that an ID is genuine or belongs to the person who uploaded it, and a "verified" label does not mean screened, licensed, insured or background-checked.

3. Assumption of risk

You are solely responsible for evaluating and interacting with other users, and for the outcome of any job you post or accept. This includes verifying any license, insurance, or qualification a job may require under local law.

4. Payments, fees & cancellations

• Payments are processed by Stripe. By using the Service you also agree to Stripe's terms governing the payment method you use.
• Last-Minute Jobs charges a platform fee (shown before a job is posted or accepted) deducted from the job price.
• Prices, bonuses, and cancellation fees are set by users, within any limits the app displays. We do not guarantee any minimum earnings or job availability.
• Late cancellations, no-shows, and disputed completions are handled per the in-app cancellation and dispute process, which we may update at our discretion. Our decision on a dispute, made in good faith, is final as between the platform and the disputing users.

5. What the price covers: labour, parts & materials

• Unless a job says otherwise, the price a Poster offers is for the Tasker's time and skill (labour) only.
• Parts, materials, supplies, equipment hire, fuel, parking, tolls, and disposal fees are not included unless the job description says so. The job description should state who supplies them.
• A Tasker must not buy parts or materials for which they expect to be reimbursed unless the Poster has approved the item and amount in advance in the app or in the job's chat. Keep the receipt; a Tasker may be asked to provide it.
• Where the Poster supplies the materials, the Poster is responsible for providing them in time and in a suitable condition.
• Costs that were not agreed in advance are not our responsibility, and we do not guarantee that they will be reimbursed.

6. Changes to a job & extra time

• The job description, price, and estimated time shown when a job is accepted form the agreement between Poster and Tasker.
• If the work turns out to be larger than described, the Tasker should say so before continuing. Extra work, extra time, or a higher price must be agreed between the two users before the extra work starts, preferably in the app.
• A Tasker who continues past the agreed scope or time without agreement does so at their own risk. A Poster who asks for extra work should expect to pay for it.
• Either user may decline a change. If they cannot agree, the Tasker may stop at the agreed scope, and the cancellation and dispute rules below apply.
• Payments for agreed extras should be made through the Service. We cannot protect or resolve disputes about money paid outside it.

7. Licensed & regulated work

Some work, such as gas, electrical, certain plumbing and building work, or work needing insurance, may legally require a licence, certificate, or permit. Taskers must hold every licence and qualification the work requires and must not accept a job they are not legally permitted to perform. Posters are responsible for choosing a suitably qualified Tasker for regulated work. We do not check licences or qualifications unless the app clearly shows a verified badge, and even then we do not guarantee the quality or safety of the work.

Child care: Taskers who accept child care jobs are not screened, certified or supervised by us, and the Service is not a licensed child care provider or agency. Posters are solely responsible for choosing, meeting and supervising a Tasker before leaving a child in their care, and Taskers must comply with any child care licensing, certification and background-check laws that apply where the work is done.

8. Cancellations, no-shows & completion

• A Poster may cancel a job that has not been accepted at no charge.
• Once a Tasker has accepted a job, either user may cancel it free of charge within 15 minutes of the acceptance.
• A Poster who cancels more than 15 minutes after a Tasker accepted is charged a fixed cancellation fee of 15 in the job's currency (or the job price, if lower). The fee is shown in the app before the cancellation is confirmed.
• A Tasker who cancels more than 15 minutes after accepting has their rating lowered by 0.3 points. No money fee is charged to the Tasker.
• After a job is accepted, a cancellation, a no-show, or a significant delay may lead to a fee or a refund as shown in the app. If a Tasker has already travelled or started the work, a call-out or cancellation fee may apply.
• If a Tasker does not arrive within a reasonable time after the agreed start, the Poster may cancel and will be refunded the amount held for the job.
• When a Tasker marks a job as done, the Poster has the confirmation window shown in the app (currently 24 hours) to confirm completion or report a problem. A Poster who reports a problem should include photos or details. If the Poster takes no action, the payment is released to the Tasker automatically.
• Disputes are reviewed under the in-app dispute process using the information both users provide, such as messages, photos, and timestamps. We may refund, release, or split a payment as we judge fair, and we may change this process from time to time.

9. Independent Taskers & taxes

Taskers are independent individuals, not employees or agents of Last-Minute Jobs or of any Poster. Each Tasker is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licences, tools, and the way the work is done, and for reporting any income as required by law. Posters are responsible for the safety of their own premises and for giving accurate details of the job.

10. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: post illegal, dangerous, or fraudulent job listings; harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user; circumvent the Service to avoid fees, including by asking for or accepting payment for a job outside the app; misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or the nature of a job; or use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law.

12. Limitation of liability

We do not offer insurance or a damage guarantee: Taskers are responsible for their own insurance, and any loss is a matter between the users involved. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as the law permits.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Last-Minute Jobs, its operators, and affiliates from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, a job you posted or accepted, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any right of another user or third party.

14. Account suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct we believe violates these Terms, harms other users, or harms the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

15. Dispute resolution

We'll try to resolve any dispute informally first — contact us below. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled through individual arbitration or small-claims court where locally required or permitted, rather than as part of a class or representative action, to the extent enforceable under applicable law. Nothing here limits a user's non-waivable statutory rights under their local consumer protection law.

• Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
• Arbitration: individual arbitration is administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Claims that qualify for small-claims court may be brought there instead. Any court proceedings that are not arbitrated take place in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
• Opt out: you may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of creating your account by emailing us at the address below with your account email and the words "opt out of arbitration". Opting out does not affect the rest of the Terms.

We may update these Terms at our discretion. We'll update the effective date above when we do; continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
